MUSEUMS AND ATTRACTIONS OF OSHAWA $155 (included: breakfast with khachapuri, Parkwood, Canadian Automotive Museum and Robert McLaughlin Gallery) Seniors 65+: $145 Children 12 and under: $125 Oshawa has many beautiful places to admire. During this tour we will explore the most impressive cultural and historical attractions of Oshawa: The Parkwood Estate, Canadian Automotive Museum and The Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery. Parkwood National Historic Site is the former home of Robert McLaughlin, founder of General Motors Canada. The estate was home to the McLaughlin family from 1917 to 1972 and still contains the original family property. The monumental mansion amazes and delights with its beauty and splendor. There are 55 rooms in total. Visitors can recognize Parkwood from the many films and TV shows filmed on its property, including the X-Men, Chicago, Queer as Folk, and Hannibal. During the Second World War, the house was often visited by officers of the nearby Camp X, Canada's most secret military facility. The Canadian Automotive Museum has the world's most significant collection of Canadian cars. Here you can see the most interesting cars, from the Redpath Messenger 1903 to the Chevrolet Lumina 1999. The Robert McLaughlin Gallery houses a collection of over 4,500 works in its spacious rooms. In addition, there are a number of exciting public art projects next to the gallery, which we will also take a look at. Our program also includes Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens and the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve. 416-722-90-43 647-673-7775
